Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Foundation [DBHF]will launch its firstannualBhupen Hazarika Jajabor* Music Festival on November 5 in Guwahati. 

Organizers say it aims at stimulating interest in the various aspects of Bhupenda’s legacyranging from music and the arts, to education,to the pursuit of social change and justice.

The overall  plan is to celebrate his life with his fansin India evenas we find ways to introduce his work internationally.As the music maestro preferred music and communication of ideasto bring people together, yhere is need to seek ways to employ music and mass communication to convey his message to ‘remember to be human by respecting each other as humans!’Toward that end, his song Manuhe Manuhor Baabe, which has been translated into over twenty different languages, will be the foundation’santhem.

This year, Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Foundation will host a two-day program of live performances on stagein parallel witha social networking&marketing fair with boothsavailable for cultural, educational and commercial groups and individuals.The Foundation will also host educational forums and presentations by speakers on critical subjects.
