BTAD Inspector General of Police(IGP),Dr L R Bishnoi inaugurated the newly constructed VDP Bhawan at Kokrajhar Sadar police station complex in the presence of high police officers on Tuesday.  It was constructed from police welfare fund for the welfare of VDP men in the district.

Tudu to submit resignation

Chrisostom Tudu,BTC Executive Member from Congress in the council will tender his resignation to BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary on Monday after party high command directed to resign him from the post follwing the resignation of Transport Minister Chandan Brahma from the Ministry. NDFB arrested

Police apprehended a hardcore cadre of NDFB(Songbijit faction) this evening from Haltugaon Balajan under Kokrajhar police station in Kokrajhar. The cadres has been identified as Swmkhwr Basumatary.  A 7.65 point pistol,a grenade and bullets was recovered from him, said a police officer.

Body recovered

A body was recovered from Doladonda along India-Bhutan border this morning under Bijni police station in Chirang district. The body has been identified as Digen Daimary(28) of Natunmati, who went to collect  firewoods yesterday. He was supposedly death in the gunfire in between SSB and NDFB (Songbijit faction) held late last night.  

MP Sarania slammed BPF

BPF withdraws alliance with Congress

The Bodoland Peoples Front(BPF), ruling partnar with Congress in Assam has broke down long eight years alliance due to the negligence from the alliance partnar Congress party itself today. One shot dead

Rajib Ramchiary,25, was shot dead by unidentified miscreants this morning around 9 am at Alagjhar under Barama police station in Baksa district. He received bullet injury on his head and died on the spot while armed gunmen shot him from close range.Police rushed the spot and investigated into incident, said a senior police officer in Baksa.  

Two arrested

Security forces belonging to Police and Army in a joint operation apprehended two cadres of NDFB(Songbijit faction) at Aithugaon under Kokrajhar police station late alst night in Kokrajhar.  The security forces,getting specific information about presence of cadres carried search operation in the area late last night around 12.30 am and manage to arrest suspected cadres of NDFB(Songbijit faction) at Aithugaon under Kokrajhar  police station from Ani Wary’s house on sleeping. The arrested cadres were identified as D Kwnasong @ Konkor Daimary of Bhoro Khursakati  Salakati and Danswrang  Basumatary of Jamuguri, Karigaon of Kokrajhar dsitrict.  Police recovered one 7....
