VDP Bhawan inaugurated

BTAD Inspector General of Police(IGP),Dr L R Bishnoi inaugurated the newly constructed VDP Bhawan at Kokrajhar Sadar police station complex in the presence of high police officers on Tuesday.  It was constructed from police welfare fund for the welfare of VDP men in the district.

NTPC organizes identification camp

 An identification camp for persons with disability was organized in association with National Institute for the Orthopedically Handicapped (NIOH), Kolkata at NTPC Bongaigaon Hospital, Salakati in Kokrajhar on Wednesday. The All Bodo StudentsUnion(ABSU) is organising anti-terrorism day on the observance of 18th death anniversary of late Swmbla Basumatary,former president of ABSU on Wednesday at Jwhwlao Swmbla Basumatary ground,Basugaon Goybari in Chirang district. Workers call off strike

Contractual workers engaged in the 750 MW (3 X 250 MW) Bongaigaon Thermal Power Project (BgTPP) today  suspended after 2 pm their indefiniate hunger strike till July 28 as BgTPP authority and district administration assured to meet solutions of their issues.
