VDP Bhawan inaugurated

BTAD Inspector General of Police(IGP),Dr L R Bishnoi inaugurated the newly constructed VDP Bhawan at Kokrajhar Sadar police station complex in the presence of high police officers on Tuesday.  It was constructed from police welfare fund for the welfare of VDP men in the district.

NDFB(R) cadres join NDFB(P)

Expressing displeasure over Ranjan Daimary,founder chairman of NDFB, over hundred cadres from NDFB(Ranjan Daimary faction) joined the NDFB (Progressive) lack of clear objectives from Daimary on the solution of Bodoland issue at a function held at Serfanguri Designated camp in Kokrajhar on Saturday. PHE observes Diarrhoea week

The Public Health Engineering (PHE) department observed Diarrhoea week along with awareness campaign in the affected areas of Japanese Encephalitis (JE) and acute encephalitis syndrome (AES) in respect of safe drinking water and sanitation at Chitila market in Kokrajhar on Thursday.It was organised by the PHE in co-ordination with Health and Family Welfare, BTC and supported by WSSO, Guwahati. NTPC organizes identification camp

 An identification camp for persons with disability was organized in association with National Institute for the Orthopedically Handicapped (NIOH), Kolkata at NTPC Bongaigaon Hospital, Salakati in Kokrajhar on Wednesday. Altogether, 180 persons with different disabilities like orthopedically handicapped, visually impaired, hearing impaired &persons with cerebral palsyattended the camp, out of which 62 persons have been identified suitable for distribution of aids and appliances by the doctors and technical staff of NIOH.
