Focus on Anukul philosophy

TANGLA: Nearly two thousand disciples of Thakur Anukulchandra from various parts of the state thronged Satsang Vihar in Tangla on Sunday to mark the 31st Foundation Day.
 Apart from religious songs and prayers throughout the day, a discussion on Thakur’s philosophy and universal peace was also held on the occasion.

 Retired Principal of V.B.P High School,Kopati, Pradip Malakar presided over the function flanked by Dr. N.C Mitra who delivered sermon on the ocassion.

“Satsang Vihar is a movement that promotes amity and tolerance among people, irrespective of their religious affiliations. Thakur's philosophy on the values of humanity is extremely relevant in today's world," Pradip Malakar said.
The Tangla Satsang Vihar was inaugurated by Acharya Dev Sri Sri Dada way back in March 1987.

As a part of World Environmental Day celebration a plantation drive was carried by students and employees of Tangla  on Sunday. A total of 150 saplings were planted on the college stadium premises on Monday. The plantation drive was carried out under the joint venture of National Social Service unit and Tangla College Students' Union of Tangla College. In yet another case of suicide of a depression, a resident of Tangla Ward No.4 Mridul Kalita (42) reportedly committed suicide in the premises Pub-Tangla L.P. school on Friday mid-night following an dowry case filed against him by his wife. Kins of the deceased informed that "The man was in sound health and had good conversation with family members and even had his dinner on Friday. We came to learn about the incident in the morning." Amid growing incidents of statewide men-elephant conflict, yet another full grown elephant died of electrocution in Udlaguri district sending shockwaves among the nature lovers. In a major breakthrough Tangla police nabbed one NDFB(R) cadre named Amne Boro alias B.Onthai (28) S/O Dhandal Boro a resident of Anadhuwa area under Panery PS. Reportedly he is suspected to be involved in the killing of a NDFB(R) cadre in Kawlibhaga area under Tangla PS on May 10 last. However it was not clear due to lack of information whether the cadre was of surrendered or active faction of the group. Reportedly he was nabbed by a team of Tangla police from ongoing Deul mela at Balipara.
Five members of a family of Uttar Kuiwa Beel in Kalaigaon area of Udalguri district fell ill on Saturday after consuming wild mushrooms. Bhanita Boro studying at Uttar Darrang HS School and Baisumoi Boro studying at Soibari Vidyapith suffered stomach cramps and started vomiting during school time. The school authorities rushed the students to nearby Health centre. On the otherhand the parents of the childerns Dwijen Boro and Nisha Boro were also rushed to nearby Health centre.
