Focus on Anukul philosophy

TANGLA: Nearly two thousand disciples of Thakur Anukulchandra from various parts of the state thronged Satsang Vihar in Tangla on Sunday to mark the 31st Foundation Day.
 Apart from religious songs and prayers throughout the day, a discussion on Thakur’s philosophy and universal peace was also held on the occasion.

 Retired Principal of V.B.P High School,Kopati, Pradip Malakar presided over the function flanked by Dr. N.C Mitra who delivered sermon on the ocassion.

“Satsang Vihar is a movement that promotes amity and tolerance among people, irrespective of their religious affiliations. Thakur's philosophy on the values of humanity is extremely relevant in today's world," Pradip Malakar said.
The Tangla Satsang Vihar was inaugurated by Acharya Dev Sri Sri Dada way back in March 1987.

A Maha Bishnu Yajna has been organised at Shivaganga Bolbom Nonai river bank, Tangla from May 8 with religious fervour. The Yajna will last for 8 day and will conclude on May 16. At a time when human trafficking cases in Udalguri district has steeply rised, and easy-going girls are lured and trafficked to various parts of the countryi. Two girls of No. 3 Hatimarasuba of Udalguri district, missing since three months were rescued at New Delhi and brought back home by the efforts of Dimakuchi OC Bakul Kakati on Sunday. Sensation prevails in the area following the alleged molestation of a 11 year old girl by a businessman at Garuajhar under Panery PS. Danish Ali, a resident of 1 No. Garuajhar went to the girl's house to fetch betel-nut sapling. A juvenile accused of theft was beaten black and blue by irate public at the premises of SBI Tangla Branch on Tuesday afternoon. An employee of RGVN (NE) MicroFinance Ltd. Gokul Kr. Das went to SBI Tangla to deposit an amount of 2.89 lacs at about 3.15 pm. The juvenille by trick tried to snatch away the bag from the employee. The juvenile was manhandled and beaten up by irate public and handed over to police custody. The juvenile is a resident of  Pagla station village of Bongaigaon. An FIR in this regard has also been filed at Tangla police station.

A major fire ravaged four shops at Bhergaon charali on Saturday afternoon. While no one was injured, the damage to property was huge. The fire broke out at R.K Hardware store at around 8.20 p.m. It quickly spread to several shops on the same complex in just a few minutes engulfing as many as three other stores namely Reena Grocery Store, Nikamsa Internet Cafe,Ratneswar & Kaushik Cloth Store. The blaze destroyed assorted items like building materials,groceries,food stuffs,clothes and electrical gadgets. Fire and Rescue Services personnel from Tangla,Khoirabari and Duni battled hard to bring the fire under control.
