Who is BJP's CM candidate: Gaurav

Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said that Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma’s entry into BJP will put the people in utter confusion over the chief ministerial candidate.

Hours after Dr Sarma unofficially joined BJP, Gogoi said that if Sarma is made the chief ministerial candidate then what is in store for Sarbananda Sonowal and Siddharth Bhattacharya.

Talking to reports Gogoi  wondered why and how Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma joined BJP a day after he was proud of his party’s victory in the Tiwa autonomous council polls.

In a historic move, the Assam government on Friday moved s bill in the legislative assembly to ensure proper care for the elders.  Moving the Bill on the floor senior minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the bill if turned into an Act would make it mandatory for all government employees to ensure proper care for their parents.  “The government would not tolerate negligence to the parents of an employees. The Dibrugarh police have arrested Akhil Gogoi on Wednesday a day after the RTI activist announced his preparedness to take up arms to safeguard the interest of the people.
