Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said that Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma’s entry into BJP will put the people in utter confusion over the chief ministerial candidate.
Hours after Dr Sarma unofficially joined BJP, Gogoi said that if Sarma is made the chief ministerial candidate then what is in store for Sarbananda Sonowal and Siddharth Bhattacharya.
Talking to reports Gogoi wondered why and how Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma joined BJP a day after he was proud of his party’s victory in the Tiwa autonomous council polls.

A forest official along with two security personnel sustained injury during a massive eviction drive in the outskirt of Guwahati city on Friday. From early in the morning a huge eviction team led by Kamrup Deputy Commissioner reached the Amching reserved forest area and evicted many illegal settlers where the evicted people had an altercation with the forest officials. One month has passed since the management has locked out the Borgaon Tea Estate in Biswanath district allowing 70 workers and their family members to languish in dying agony.
