Dr MMS is the MP from Assam and he should take the moral responsibilty for the violence. The UPA and state government who had been ruling for the last 10 years must be blamed for such butchery. But Congress sees only shadow of Modi on anything. The Congress leaders leaders who used to revel in the luxury and comforts in Delhi offices were always apathetic towards the violence in Kashmir and Punjab during the 1970's and 1980's. The secular leaders were more philosohical and much less practical in understanding the problems of people in all parts of the country. There was similar violence in 2012 in NE. Then the government should have take precautionary measures to avert the occurance of similar incidents. When there is NO capable ruler or leader at the centre, the state governments will also follow the anarchy. "Yatha Raja Thatha Praja" means "AS THE RULER SO THE RULED". If the king of the country is of good character, with good heart and always thinking of well-being of his subjects, and if he is a spiritual thinker and peaceful minded, his subjects will be like him in all these ways too
Despite preventive measures, there has been steep rise in the number of death due to Japanese Encephalitis in the state.Disclosing this in the assembly on Thursday, health minister Dr Nazrul Islam said that 521 people died in JE during the last four years since 2011.. According to the minister in 2014 alone, 165 people lost their lives in the state. He said the number of JE victim in 2011 was 115. In 2012, the toll marginally decreased but only to increase again in 2013 with 134.

Assam BJP MPs are not at all happy with the Centre’s decision not to accord ST status for six ethnic communities a year before the assembly polls.The MPs have started mounting pressure on the tribal affairs ministry to reconsider the decision.A senior party leader and MP told Assam Times that if the government proceeds this way the party will have to pay heavy price in the assembly polls early next year. “It would leave negative message before the people. A House committee will probe a string of anomalies in the Public Works Department. Disclosing this on the floor of the House Speaker Pranab Kumar Gogoi said on Wednesday that the House panel will look into the alleged irregularities in inviting tenders from contractors . Ganamukti Sangram is all set to hit the streets demanding ST status for six ethnic communities a few days after the Centre rejected the ten year long demand. The Akhil Gogoi-led new political party is waiting to launch the agitation in a big way from March 31 if the government fails to announce policy decision by then. “We won’t allow these six communities to be ignored by Delhi and Dispur. We demand measures to uplift these people. ST status is the best possible measures,” said a KMSS leader.“We don’t understand why the NDA government has failed to keep its poll promises,” said the KMSS leader who is taking a prominent position in the new political party.
NRC, Assam Accord implementation and deportation of Bangladeshi immigrants are dominating the All Assam Students Union’s Dudhnoi Convention which is underway. Talking to Assam Times, AASU leaders said that they have already finalize action plan to fight for pressurizing Delhi and Dispur to flawlessly update the NRC apart from sealing the Indo-Bangla border to prevent further influx from across the border.The entire course of action, however, would be announced at the open session on Thursday, said a senior AASU leader.
