Very happy to know that the association is continuing to do well and growing. I had the privilege of being the President of the association around 1981-82 when I was a Professor of IIT-Madras ( now Chennai). During Assam Movement, we published the Brahmaputra Beckons. Thousands of his supporters took out a huge rally in Lakhimpur to welcome Sonowal to the Deputy Commissioner’s office where the state BJP president submitted his papers before the returning officer.
