Sadhana Das passes away

Sadhana Das (69 years), wife of a benevolent social worker of Jorhat Jiten Das has left her mortal body on 21st June, 2007 at Dispur Hospital, Guwahati. She has left behind her husband, her only son Mr. Jyotimoi Das and her two daughters along with many other relatives.

The flood scene in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh remains unchanged on Sunday.The river Brahmaputra and its tributaries are still flowing above the danger level leaving no room for respite for more than 6 lakh people.Flood waters level in Assam are still surging even after the halt of the rains. According to the Assam Disaster Management Authority, the current flood wave has washed away 90 roads, embankments, culverts and bridges in the state.
