Police officer suspended

An indecent entry of a police officer into a religious place forced the authorities to suspend the accused on Sunday.

A Geetanagar police station officer has been suspended acting on the complaint that he entered into the Fancy Bazar-based Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha Complex wearing his shoes for an operation.

According to information, the authority has suspended sub insopector Dhanmoni Timung on Sunday for his indecent entry into the temple on August 21 and 22. Actions are pending against Ratul Dutta, Dipak Kakati and Hannan Ali.

Police commissioner has asked joint commissioner will be conducting the enquiry and submit his report within 7 days.
