The river Brahmaputra and its tributaries are still flowing above the danger level leaving no room for respite for more than 6 lakh people.
Flood waters level in Assam are still surging even after the halt of the rains. According to the Assam Disaster Management Authority, the current flood wave has washed away 90 roads, embankments, culverts and bridges in the state. These incidents, mostly, took place in Kokrajhar, Bongaigaon and Barpeta districts where surface communications are still remaining heavily disrupted.
