Kalaigaon Tangla students excel in HS


People of Kalaigaon have expressed satisfaction at the good performance of students in the HS examination conducted by AHSEC and CBSE although both the places have been hit hard by frequent bandhs. In the CBSE class X examination,students of Jawahar Novodaya Vidyalaya,Kalaigaon did exceedingly well with 100 percent success. All of 73 appeared passed. More than 93 percent students scored above 60 percent marks. Ganesh Boro topped the school with 10 CGP and other 5scoring more than 90 percent.In class XII final 99 percent students of JNV,Kalaigaon passed (69 passed out of 70). 60 number of students (87%) scored first division. Utpola Sarma scored highest 93 percent marks. Madhab Sarma,Principal,JNV,Kalaigaon thanked students and teachers for the success.


Students of Maharishi Vidya Mandir,Tangla also did very well in the CBSE class X examination with hundred percent success. Jyoti Rekha Rabha scored CGP 10 besides other 3 who scored above CGP 9.
In the HS final (Arts) students of Kalaigaon College have shown good performance. 75 percent students of Kalaigaon College passed with 21 in first division. Bornalee Sarma scored 80 percent marks with letter in 3 subject. On the other hand 70 percent students of Kalaigaon HS School passed HS final examination with 7 passing in first division. “Frequent bandh calls have been posing a serious threat to academic activities in the district. Any bandh is observed at Kalaigaon and Tangla” said a unhappy guardian.

Protesting against sharp price rise of essential commodities in the country,more than five hundred people mostly woman staged dharna in front of Kalaigaon Revenue Circle Office today on September 2 at 11 am on the day of Bharat Bandh.The protesters blocked the main gate of Kalaigaon Revenue Circle Office preventing government officials and employees including Additional Deputy Commissioner Udalguri.
