Senior journalist Ajit Kr. Bhuyan has stepped down from Guwahati based sattelite news channel Prag News as it's chief editor.
Bhuyan, who has been playing a major role in mass mobilisation for the on-going anti-CAA protest in the state, on Saturday formally submitted his resignation.
Bhuyan, who has been active in journalism for the last three decade, is the founder editor of Asomiya Pratidin, the largest circulated Assamese newspaper.

A special court in Guwahati has remanded 12 ACS, APS and allied service officers to 14 days police custody hours after they were arrested charging them with resorting to forgery in the state civil service examination.
