Bengali body demands CBI probe

The All India Bengali Youth Student's Federation (AIBYSF) and All Assam Bengali Youth Student's Federation (BBYSF) will stage sit-in-demonstration on September 7 at Dispur last gate in Guwahati demanding CBI probe into the Silapothar and Nagaon incident.

Speaking the News Conference held at Amala Bhawan in Kokrajhar on Sunday, Shyamal Sarkar, president of All India Bengali Youth Student's Federation and Deepak Dey, president of the Assam state federation demanded stern actions against incidents of Silapothar and Nagaon in the state.

The federation have condemned the Nagaon incident which had created resented among the citizens, said that it was created by some so called activities to indulge misunderstanding in the state. They accused of Chief Minister, who had well known about both incidents held at Silapothar and Nagaon, but yet he has been keeping silence into situations.

A mass Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organized by the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) and its movement group like the NDFB(P), PJACBM at Kokrajhar Girl’s Higher Secondary school Nearly two-hundred volunteers donated blood to the Kokrajhar blood bank on Sunday. Police apprehended four persons for involved with assaults an elderly woman on suspect of witch-hunting at Garopara village under Kazigaon PS in Kokrajhar district on Tuesday which has created sensaton in the area. A total 12 grenades were recovered at a house at Hartal village along Indo-Bhutan border area in Baksa district on Tuesday during joint operation carried out by security forces.  According to security source, a joint team of security forces from police, army, CRPF launched a search operation at Hartal village in Baksa district and managed to recover 12 pieces of grenades at a house along the village which were kept inside the house.
