National archery gold medalist, Gohela Boro of New Amguri village in Kokrajhar reached home Tuesday evening after 40 days of medical treatment at Apollo Hospital in New Delhi. She was admitted on April 8 following multiple aliments.
A smiling Gohela was greeted by SAI officials and well wishers upon her arrival at Kokrajhar railway station by Rajdhani Express at 6:20 pm. She was accompanied by her younger sister Dane Boro and members of a non-governmental organization who were along with her during the period of her treatment. She was discharged on Monday.
Gohela Boro expressing her will in taking to archery afresh said, “I will resume my carrier in archery. Wining a gold medal is my ultimate aim in the coming days”. She thanked her well wishers and sponsors who extended financial support for her treatment.
Gohela is advised to exercise care and ensure post hospital management of her health at home and undergo regular blood tests to continue treatment. Dane Boro said that their family is indebted to all the organizations, individuals, government officials, NGOs, social activists and the media, who extended all support while paving the way for Gohela’s higher treatment.
