Bengali body demands CBI probe

The All India Bengali Youth Student's Federation (AIBYSF) and All Assam Bengali Youth Student's Federation (BBYSF) will stage sit-in-demonstration on September 7 at Dispur last gate in Guwahati demanding CBI probe into the Silapothar and Nagaon incident.

Speaking the News Conference held at Amala Bhawan in Kokrajhar on Sunday, Shyamal Sarkar, president of All India Bengali Youth Student's Federation and Deepak Dey, president of the Assam state federation demanded stern actions against incidents of Silapothar and Nagaon in the state.

The federation have condemned the Nagaon incident which had created resented among the citizens, said that it was created by some so called activities to indulge misunderstanding in the state. They accused of Chief Minister, who had well known about both incidents held at Silapothar and Nagaon, but yet he has been keeping silence into situations.

A teacher has been arrested by police for allegedly raped of a HSLC candidate under Fakiragram PS in Kokrajhar district on Tuesday.  The teacher was identified as Gazi Rahman Paramanik, head teacher of Kachukata LP school under Fakiragram PS, who allegedly raped a HSLC candidate . Sensation prevailed in Kokrajhar after recovery jail inmate's dead body at Kokrajhar district jail on Tursday afternoon. The jail inmate was identified as Dinesh Chandra Roy of Panbari village under Kachugaon PS in district, who was jailed in January last for murdering his wife. According to jail official Roy had committed suicide by around 11 near hospital insid ethe jail compound. Later, family was informd.
