Bengali body demands CBI probe

The All India Bengali Youth Student's Federation (AIBYSF) and All Assam Bengali Youth Student's Federation (BBYSF) will stage sit-in-demonstration on September 7 at Dispur last gate in Guwahati demanding CBI probe into the Silapothar and Nagaon incident.

Speaking the News Conference held at Amala Bhawan in Kokrajhar on Sunday, Shyamal Sarkar, president of All India Bengali Youth Student's Federation and Deepak Dey, president of the Assam state federation demanded stern actions against incidents of Silapothar and Nagaon in the state.

The federation have condemned the Nagaon incident which had created resented among the citizens, said that it was created by some so called activities to indulge misunderstanding in the state. They accused of Chief Minister, who had well known about both incidents held at Silapothar and Nagaon, but yet he has been keeping silence into situations.

Kokrajhar police on Wednesday arrested three bike lifters from Chautaki under Salakati police outpost in Kokrajhar district. Identified as Hasmat Ali, Taffizuddin of Abhayapuri and Saheb Ali of Salakati, they were arrested by the Kokrajhar police who registered a case no. 510/16 u/s 379/411IPC. At-least six students of Bodoland University in Kokrajhar were hospitalized due to food poisoning late last evening. Students consumed Pazta fast food with meat at a nearby fast food shop at Debargaon in Kokrajhar. Affected students said that they had consumed Pazta fast food last evening around 5-6 pm at a nearby fast food shop of the university. All six students were taken the fast food on the same time which was served by shop keeper. The All Bodo Students Union (ABSU)  has been preparing to observe 30th Bodoland movement martyrs day on June 12 at Bijni of Chirang district to mark the death anniversary of Sujit Narzary, first martyr of Bodoland movement. Abducted Amjonga Tea Estate manager Nabin Chandra Joshi has been released by kidnappers after six day at Patgaon area in Kokrajhar district on Thursday.  Joshi was kidnapped by unknown miscreants on June 2 evening from Marnoi TE in Kokrajhar district while he was visiting the Tea Estate for labor along with two other colleagues.
