Bengali body demands CBI probe

The All India Bengali Youth Student's Federation (AIBYSF) and All Assam Bengali Youth Student's Federation (BBYSF) will stage sit-in-demonstration on September 7 at Dispur last gate in Guwahati demanding CBI probe into the Silapothar and Nagaon incident.

Speaking the News Conference held at Amala Bhawan in Kokrajhar on Sunday, Shyamal Sarkar, president of All India Bengali Youth Student's Federation and Deepak Dey, president of the Assam state federation demanded stern actions against incidents of Silapothar and Nagaon in the state.

The federation have condemned the Nagaon incident which had created resented among the citizens, said that it was created by some so called activities to indulge misunderstanding in the state. They accused of Chief Minister, who had well known about both incidents held at Silapothar and Nagaon, but yet he has been keeping silence into situations.

Kokrajhar police disposed huge amounts of narcotic substances on Tuesday at Singimari Itabata ground. One person died and four others received serious injuries due to road mishap at Labrabati Patgaon in Kokrajhar district on Saturday. According to police, an Eon vehicle  bound for Siliguri from Dibrugarh head on collided with a tractor which claimed one person and four others sustained serious injuries on the incident. Injured were immediately rushed to Kokrajhar RNB civil hospital. Hundreds of activists from ABMSU joined hands with banner, placards in a sit in dharna programme demanding distribution of free textbooks, recruitment of teachers in Palengmari High School in Chirang district on Monday.
