UPSC, APSC orientation programme in Kokrajhar

The All Bodo Students Union(ABSU) organizes an orientation programme on how to crack civil services examinations (UPSC/APSC) for IAS, IPS, ACS, APS etc. The programme was held at Science College auditorium in Kokrajhar on Wednesday.

The ABSU has been working since 2006 for aiming to bring a quality education and social uplift among society in the state.The students union has an overview to build up a integrated society among human life and seeing orgnising of human resource development  programmes across the state.

 Bibekananda Choudhury, Kokrajhar deputy commissioner inaugurated the orientation programme in the presence students gathering.He said that students community should take mission of aspiring good higher studies with dedicated manner.

 Manmahan Boro,Commanding Officer of 7th Assam Police battalion, Manoj Swargiyary, UPSC cleared, Urkhao Gwra Brahma, former Rajya Sabha MP,Promod Boro, president ABSU,Marami Das,Kokrajhar DSP,PC Barman,additional DC Kokrajhar  were prominent speakers on the occasion.

 Promod Boro,ABSU president said that the students union was working to the uplift of Bodos in education,socially and literary since inception of the organsation.The students union has been stepping with mission quality education since 2006 with bringing social awareness and dedicated manner to create educational congenial atmosphere in the region. The society of Bodos still is not much advance while maintaining social growth in educational arena because the pass percentgae in HSLC was not coimng with sufficient percentage.He said that students union has been organising such kind of orientation programme to make healthy education atmoshpere  among human society and thus huge students are attending the programmes with positive participation.

 ‘We have invited many speakers including IPS,APS,ACS,UPSC,those who are able to speak about successful way for the ambition as well career of a person’,Boro said.

 Manoj Swargiyary,UPSC cleared person from Bodo community this year said that the crack in UPSC,APSC is depen on personal preparation while attending the competitative examinations. ‘There is must need of self determination and ambition to take participate in the competative exams.Dedicatively study is also a part of successful in the competative exams’,Swargiyary said.

KOKRAJHAR: Police arrested five protesters in Kokrajhar on Wednesday who burnt effigies of chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019. Activists and members from All Assam Nath Yogi Students Union carried out a protest demonstration along the JD Road near District Computer centre in Kokrajhar against the CAB bill and burnt effigies of Sonowal and Sarma. KOKRAJHAR: Normal life was paralised  in four districts of Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD) region on Tuesday due to 11-hour north east bandh called to put protest against the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill which was tabled in Lok Sabha on Monday amidst strong oppossed from different corner. KOKRAJHAR: The ruling partner in the state alliance government, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) has said that the their party is going to participate in the ensuing 2020 BTC general elections. Speaking the reporters at Kokrajhar Press Club on Sunday, AGP leader Subir Chakraborty told that his party was fully prepared to contest the council elections due in March-April 2020 under the alliance spirits of BJP-BPF-AGP in the state. KOKRAJHAR: Noted social activist, former leader of All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) and close associate of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma Yamao Jwhwlao Brahma passed away on Wednesday night at a private hospital in Guwahati. A day-long workshop on journalism was held at Bodofa House, Baganshali in Kokrajhar on Wednesday. KOKRAJHAR: An eight-member delegation of  a special review committee on detention center, led by chairman Debojit Mukherjee visited the detention center in Kokrajhar on Tuesday. The delegation members include Debojit Mukherjee, deputy inspector of police (Border) and chairman of the committee, district judge (retired) H Singh, IGP of Prisons Barnali Sharma, D Saikia, AIG of Prisons and several senior police officials.
