Tangla Press Club expells Secretary Rudra Deka

Tangla Press Club (TPC) expelled it's secretary Rudra Deka with immediate effect from the post of the Secretary of the club on allegation of collection of money in the name of the institution. In a meeting held at TPC  on Tuesday, the secretary was removed on allegation of unconstitutional moves and disruption of unity among the members the journalist.

Sensation has been prevaling in Udalguri district following the cold blooded murder of a tea garden labour. In a shocking incident, an advocate of Guwahati High Court has faced acid attack on Saturday evening. The advocate was attacked while she was getting down from a bus in Bharalumukh bus station in Bharaumukh area of Guwahati by unknown miscreants. Passengers of the 15618/Naharlagun - Guwahati InterCity Express  had to face a harrowing time on Sunday after the train was stopped due to a bomb planted at a Railway crossing near Tangla which later turned out to be a hoax. A youth named Bhajan Sarkar spotted a material which had wires coming out he immediately informed the police. A team of police headed by Pranjal Borah, SDPO Bhergaon rushed to the spot.
