Tangla Press Club expells Secretary Rudra Deka

Tangla Press Club (TPC) expelled it's secretary Rudra Deka with immediate effect from the post of the Secretary of the club on allegation of collection of money in the name of the institution. In a meeting held at TPC  on Tuesday, the secretary was removed on allegation of unconstitutional moves and disruption of unity among the members the journalist.

A fire gutted down at least 4 to 5 huts in Dimakuchi daily market on Tuesday afternoon. The fire broke out  from a lighted cigarete and quickly spread to the other houses in the neighbourhood. Fire fighters from Dimakuchi and Tangla were rushed to the market and they quickly doused the fire.There was no report of any casualty or injury.The exact loss of property and its value was yet to be ascertained, sources added.

A seminar on Interview Skills and Career Counselling aimed at equipping students with wider perspective of selecting one's career  was held at Tangla College today. The seminar was held under the aegis of IQAC cell of Tangla College. The four member counselling team from Kaziranga University was  headed by Pranjal Borborah. The office of the Chief Judicial Magistrate of the Udalguri district court has dismayed serious concern over the continued display of various government hoardings across the district violating the elections norms. On the ocassion of International Womens' Day an awareness programme on 'Legal Rights of Women' was organized at Tangla College conference hall  in joint collaboration of Tangla Women Cell and IQAC cell today.Women cell convenor Sabita Mazumdar Kalita,Principal Dr.Prasen Daimari spoke on the ocassion.
