New SP in Udalguri

Rakesh Roushan, lPS took charge as Superintendent of Police Udalguri on Monday. He has taken over charge from Bir Bikram Gogoi. Earlier he served as Superintendent of Police  (Operation), Sonitpur, and SDPO Rangia, Kamrup.

Mercury soars, temperature sizzles at 38 degree celsius

  TANGLA: The temperature crossed 36 degrees on Thursday giving no relief to the people of Tangla town in Udalguri district. The town and its surrounding places  reeled under a scorching sun with people mostly remaining imdoors. As per Accuweather, a google weather app  the maximum temperature in Tangla on Wednesday stood at 38 degree Celsius. The streets of Tangla wore a deserted look throughout the day. Japanese Encephalitis claims one in Udalguri

UDALGURI:  The monsoon related fever has began to raise its ugly head in Udalguri district.Japan Encephalitis (JE), Malaria have started reporting and JE has already claimed a life.
