Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said that Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma’s entry into BJP will put the people in utter confusion over the chief ministerial candidate.
Hours after Dr Sarma unofficially joined BJP, Gogoi said that if Sarma is made the chief ministerial candidate then what is in store for Sarbananda Sonowal and Siddharth Bhattacharya.
Talking to reports Gogoi wondered why and how Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma joined BJP a day after he was proud of his party’s victory in the Tiwa autonomous council polls.

Talking to reporters in Guwahati, Gogoi said, "Assam is known for pathetic economic health where there is hardly any process of development. Security forces attached to the Northeast Frontier Railway seized twelve pieces of gold worth Rs 70 lakh from a New Delhi bound train on Friday.
