BTC budget session ends in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: Bodoland Territorial Council(BTC) ended its two days budget session on Thursday clearing the ₹ 1360.99 lakhs surplus for the financial year 2018-19.

The Opposition camp alleged that state government has been tactically deprived the BTC council from getting sufficient funding and welfare aspects and demanded huge flow of direct funding and revenue collections towards making development in the region.

The House discussed thoroughly in the budget session on various subjects,which included river  erossion, forest protection, agricultural, education, health,road communication,irrigation etc to make more gaining of development with involvedment of common masses.

‘We are not receiving sufficient budget from the state government.As per population ratio,we must get 12.19% percent to meet healthy governence.But,we are receiving only few 6% percent budgetary ration over the years. We are placing our demands to the state governnace since few years, but government has yet to give response to the issues raised from the council’,Mohilary said.
