Protest continued in Lower Assam as well in the state against killing of Priya Basumatary, a Class X student by NDFB(S). Hundreds of students, activists and commoners participated in silent protests in the twin districts of Kokrajhar and Chirang today. The All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU), Chirang District Committee staged a silent rally covering their mouths with black cloth pieces at Kajalgaon while commoners and civic organizations brought out a peace rally at Runikata in protest against the killing of Priya Basumatary at Dwimuguri on Wednesday last.
