Dr MMS is the MP from Assam and he should take the moral responsibilty for the violence. The UPA and state government who had been ruling for the last 10 years must be blamed for such butchery. But Congress sees only shadow of Modi on anything. The Congress leaders leaders who used to revel in the luxury and comforts in Delhi offices were always apathetic towards the violence in Kashmir and Punjab during the 1970's and 1980's. The secular leaders were more philosohical and much less practical in understanding the problems of people in all parts of the country. There was similar violence in 2012 in NE. Then the government should have take precautionary measures to avert the occurance of similar incidents. When there is NO capable ruler or leader at the centre, the state governments will also follow the anarchy. "Yatha Raja Thatha Praja" means "AS THE RULER SO THE RULED". If the king of the country is of good character, with good heart and always thinking of well-being of his subjects, and if he is a spiritual thinker and peaceful minded, his subjects will be like him in all these ways too
A scrap dealer lost his life in a powerful explosion in a remote BTAD district village on Sunday.The explosion took place in the wee hours at Borjhar village in Udalguri district when the scarp dealer Ram Chandra Barman started hitting a round object with a hammer around 6.30 in the morning leading to an explosion that killed him on the spot.He collected these scrap on Saturday evening to be processed on Sunday.Three others, including a woman, were also injured in the incident who are battling for life in the hospital.The bomb was believed to have been kept in the heap of scraps by unidentified miscreants. Police investigation is going on.
The Karbi Anglong district administration steps up probe into the recent three rape allegations in Dokmoka area. Simultaneous probes are also in progress by police and the army in this connection.Soures told Assam Times that additional deputy commissioner Hunmili Teronpi is expected to submit the report in 15 days. Karbi Students' Association demands immediate arrest of the culprits. The 24 hour Karbi Anglong bandh ended on Sunday morning crippling normal life across the hills district during the last 24 hours.Called by at least 10 local Karbi organizations, the band ended peacefully at 5 in the morning in protest against the alleged rape of two women and a school student by army jawans on April 6 at Dokmoka.Schools and colleges, offices and banks, shops and markets remained closed on Saturday under the impact of the bandh call. Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi wants CBI to probe into the death of 14 workers in Meghalaya which still shrouds in mystery.In his letter to his Meghalaya counterpart Mukul Sangma on Saturday, urged him to hand over the case to the CBI to ascertain the real cause of death.Gogoi, further introduced a money help of Rs one lakh to the subsequent of kin of the deceased and expressed his deep condolences to the bereaved households.The Chief Minister had earlier directed Additional Chief Secretary Shyam Lal Mewara to enquire into the circumstances main to the death of the labourers with cooperation from Meghalaya government.

Forest guards in Kaziranga have killed two poachers at an encounter on Saturday a day after yet another rhino was killed in the world heritage site.The encounter took place in the morning when the guards were launching an intensified operation in search of the rhino poachers in the national park. Two poachers were killed on the spot where two others managed to escape. Operations are going on to nab the remaining two.The poachers killed a female adult rhino on Friday to take away the horn in the National Park.The carcass was found at the Borboribil forest camp by the patrolling forest guards. The security forces seized five empty cartridges from the spot, he said.
Uneasy calm prevails in Dokmoka a day after over 12 people sustained injury as they clashed with security forces during a protest over a rape case.Angry local residents in the entire area have pledged to take on the security forces in a big way. Talking to Assam Times the local residents said that they won’t stop the fight against the rapist army jawan.“We will not relent unless the rapist jawan is punished. Or we will ask the authority to hand over him to us,” said a local resident who was among those who hit the streets on Friday.The incident took place on April 6 when a few security personnel raped a local girl during an operation at Parkup Pahar under Dokmoka Police Station.

Altogether 11 local organizations in the hills district called the bandh demanding immediate arrest and punishment to the army personnel involved in the rape incident.
