Xanto Xista Maha Dusto enacted at Delhi

Xanto Xista Maha Dusto, the popular play by Dr Bhabendra Nath Saikia was enacted by some Assamese children in Delhi. The play was organised by INLI Foundation with an objective to connect these children to their roots. The programme was inaugurated by Preeti Saikia, wife of Dr Bhabendra Nath Saikia. The programme was attended by noted cine and theatre artist Adil Hussain, popular Assamese actor Chetana Das and writer Binaybrata Sarnia and Nuruddin Ahmed. The president of INLI Foundation, Indrajit Das, while addressing the audience said that the objechve of such an event is to link the children of Assam, who are now living in Delhi, to their roots.

A branch of Maina Parijat will be set up in the capital soon.
