Very happy to know that the association is continuing to do well and growing. I had the privilege of being the President of the association around 1981-82 when I was a Professor of IIT-Madras ( now Chennai). During Assam Movement, we published the Brahmaputra Beckons. A massive awareness campaign is on the cards against the racial attack on the north east people in in New Delhi.Bollywood actor Amir Khan has evinced keen interest to lead the country wide campaign against racial attack on the people of this region in the national capital along with some other parts.The decision was taken at a high level meeting held the under the presidentship of MP Bezbaruah at the Nagaland House in New Delhi on Sunday.Notably, racial attacks on the north east people have been hitting media headlines for the last couple of days.
