A rare dose of good news for Congress party in Assam. Despite being hardpressed by dissidence and Akhil Gogoi factor, the ruling party is likely to get 11 out of 14 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls if NDTV opinion poll is any indication.According to the opinion polls, Congress tally would go up by four seats----from 7 to 11 this year with a wonderful 35 per cent vote share. The survey seems hardly any impact of Modi magic where the BJP is likely to get only 3 seats---down from 4 in 2009. AIUDF and AGP may not be able to open even an account. Instead, the regional party would have to lose the lone seat in Tezpur. BJP’s vote share is shown 25 per cent with AGP 11 per cent.   ...
