Three political heavyweights in Guwahati filed their nominations on Friday.
All these candidates were taken to the DC office premises with huge processions in Amingaon. Congress candidate Manas Bora filed nominations before the returning office at the Amingaon based office of the Deputy Commissioner.
Bora was followed by his AGP rival Birendra Prasad Baishya who reached the office premises with a huge procession of supporters.
Another candidate to have filed his nomination on Friday is Biju Phukan who is contesting from Guwahati seat with TMC ticket.
The papers would be scrutinized on Saturday while the candidates would be able to withdraw their nominations by Monday.
Polls in Guwahati along with Dhubri, Mongoldoi, Barpeta, Nagaon and Kokrajhar would take place on April 25.
