Dima Haso scam likely to rock Parliament

CPIM general secretary Prakash Karat says that his party would raise the multi crore scam in NC Hills of Assam in parliament. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Monday, Karat said siphonning off money meant for poor people is a grave and an unpardonable crime and that the guilty persons deserve punishment. Karat along with top party leaders held a brainstorming meet to formulate strategy for the upcoming assembly polls in Assam.

There is no positive outcome in the district after scam issue and all the political leaders are busy in making an image for the upcoming election with the in the name of scam issue. The district name should be totally named as DIMA HASAO in every article as suggested...as it is officially accepted in the gazzated offices in the state.

Two people died on the spot while a tractor on which they were riding was dashing against a moving train at an unmanned level crossing near Jogijan in Nagaon on Tuesday. According to an official statement, the incident took place when the tractor entered through the unmanned level crossing collided with the speeding 0865 Up train in the afternoon. Senior Professor and former science dean of Gauhati University Akhil Kumar Medhi is set to be the new Vice Chancellor of the same varsity. At last forest department has managed to arrest poacher Manu Bazbaruah from the city on Monday. According to information, Manu was arrested on his way to the Santipur based forest office. Later he was produced before the session court in the city which remanded him to fourteen days judicial custody. It may be noted that a joint operation by police and forest department seized deer meat, elephant leg, skjin of tigers and a huge cache of arms and ammunition from his Dispur based residence but he was not available.
