Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Saturday asked police to nab the culprits in the Guwahati molestation case within the next 48 hours. But out of 12 identified police have so far arrested only 4 miscreants. That too five days after the shocking incident that brews widespread acrimony. Three suspected NDFB cadres were gunned down during an encounter with security forces in Goalpara district on Friday. According to police, the encounter took place during an operation in Salpara around in the wee hours. In the retaliatory firing, three cadres were killed, while the rest two managed to escape. A woman died of electrocution when she was trying to charge her mobile phone in Kamrup (Rural) district on Friday. The incident took place in the morning in Pitambar Hat Bajali village, when the woman jolted as she put the mobile charger to the switch and fell unconscious in her house of the district.
