Resurfacing revolt in Cong

Revolt revisits in Assam Congress. That too hardly a month before the Lok Sabha polls. Simmering discontent seems to have taken centrestage within the ruling party after AICC announced the candidates for 10 Lok Sabha polls.

Led by Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, over a dozen MLAs and ministers have been camping in New Delhi to get their own candidates fielded in the polls.

The dissident group has not been success while AICC election committee has cleared the names in favour of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and APCC president Bhubneswar Kalita.

Miffed at this development, the dissident legislators are all set to call on Sonia Gandhi revealing their grudge.
