Photo of an unusual four-storied "Bhelleghar" constructed by villagers at Lathapara, near Naamkhola in Darrang district which had attracted large number of people for a few days till January 15.

Firstly I want to thanks the villagers of Lathapara and the young boy who created this Bhelaghar. I appreciate you that this is a nice work. I live in guwahati in concrit jungle but i am a lover of Meji. I create in this year Meji and Bhelaghar with my friends. In our locality there have no sufficient bamboo. I hope please you will create this type of Bhelaghar. Thanks

Integrated Rural Development Organization (IRADO),a NE based voluntary organization has launched a campaign in Darrang district for improving the standard of livelihood of rural woman artisans, engaged in handloom and handicrafts. Renowned educationist and state teacher’s award winner Tabibullah of Kalaigaon passed away on April 21 at 9 am at his own residence.
