Miscreants destroyed congress election office

The destruction of congress election office at Dhopguri, near Khoirabari under 65 Kalaigaon LAC in the 8 Mangaldai HPC has created sensation in the district.The incident occurred at 3.30 am on April 17.According to Ramesh Nath president,Dhopguri Mandal congress committee, about 35 youths,who had come in winger and Bolero,tried to awake him at 3.30 am.When he refused to come out,the youths threatened to damage his Mahindra Savari van parked outside his house.When he had came out,the group asked him to withdraw his support to congress.Saying so the members of the group destroyed all the posters and banners of congress party before leaving his house.Immediately after,the same group destroyed the congress election office just half a km away from his residence,Congress workers have condemned the incident .State health minister and congress spokesperson Dr.Himanta Biswa Sarma,who had addressed an election rally at Lakhimpur near Kalaigaon on April 17 at 11.30 am told media persons that the matter would be placed before the election commission.
