Three NDFB-S cadres arrested

Kokrajhar: As many as three hardcore cadres of the NDFB- Saoraigwra faction were apprehended by Kerala police in Ernakulam on Thursday morning. The arrested cadres were on their way for Ernakulam when police arrested them. 

According to police, on November 16(2017) at about 6am,  a group of suspected NDFB(S) militants led by late Soheton Narzary @ Sandw (later killed in an encounter with Kokrajhar Police) shot at and critically injured a civilian Rosno Basumatary, son of Jakob Basumatary , resident of village Dumbajar under Gossaigaon PS in Dumbazar Dolgaon Tiniali in Kokrajhar district. This refers to Gossaigaon PS Case No.455/2017 U/S-120(b)/121/ 121(a) /122/326/307/34 IPC, R/W Sec. 27(2) Arms Act, R/W Sec.10/13 UA(P) act.

Three  hardcore cadres of banned NDFB (S) organization, identified as  B. Meher @ Manu Basumatary, Bamyaguri,  Kajigaon, B. Phwrbw @ Pritam Basumatary of West 

Bathabari Aflagaon and  B. Dalang @ Dhumketu Brahma of Chakuma Gossaigaon in Kokrajhar district.

 They are suspected to be involved in the incident have been apprehended by Kerala Police on the basis of specific tip off provided by Kokrajhar police.

A special police team of Kokrajhar district police has already been detailed accordingly and they are on the way to Ernakulam district of Kerala to bring the above named hardcore NDFB(S) cadres to Kokrajhar for further investigation of the above referred case.

Security forces continue its intensying operation in the area ahead assembly election. Another cadre Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) was apprehended today from Harigaon area under Kokrajhar PS. He was identified as Kiren Ray (22) of Balagaon Part-I, who was involved with extortion,arms peddling,kidnapping and logistic spports to the outfit organisation.
