Zeliang condoles Shyama Singh’s demise

Nagaland Chief Minister TR Zeliang has deeply condoled the demise of former MP Shyama Singh, the wife of former Governor of Nagaland who passed away after prolonged illness in New Delhi at the age 74 on Monday.
In a message, Zeliang said Shyama Singh was not only a popular political leader but also an outstanding social worker whose death is a major loss to the Nation.
During the tenure of her husband Nikhil Kumar as Governor of Nagaland from 2009 to 2013, the people of Nagaland witnessed the presence of Shyama Singh in the State whose contribution towards the welfare of the citizens of Nagaland will ever be cherished.
“During this difficult moment of pain and grief, I pray that God Almighty grant peace and solace to the bereaved family members, friends and colleagues,” said the Chief Minister.

The Village sports meet in Nagaland concluded on Saturday after Governor P B Acharya stressed peaceful co-existence through games and sports.In his speech as the chief guest during the closing ceremony he said sports meet was a good example of unity in diversity.
