NVCO observes RTI Week

Nagaland Voluntary Consumers’ Organisation(NVCO) conducted a daylong interaction session-cum-awareness campaign at Tyrannus Boys Hostel Jakhama (TBHJ) on Friday. More than 40 students of St. Joseph’s College participated where several portion on the Right to Information Act 2005 were presented by Shanchobeni, Lanutoshi, Bichano, Atong Tikhir, Mhaletuono, John Chang & Vetsuzo.

The NVCO said it came to learn that a village authority don’t allow its citizen to submit any RTI application without the permission of village council especially information related to village affairs such as MGREGA, etc.

Continuing the commemoration of RTI Week, the NVCO conducted another program for girl students at Vivienda Girls Hostel situated at Lower Chandmari, Kohima on Saturday.
