Hundreds of activists from ABMSU joined hands with banner, placards in a sit in dharna programme demanding distribution of free textbooks, recruitment of teachers in Palengmari High School in Chirang district on Monday. The students union also burnt effigy of Dr Himanta Biswa Sara, Assam education minister alleged that the education department has failed while distributing free textbooks among students in the state. The students union demanded early distribution of free textbooks for the students in the state, recruit teachers in the Palengmari High School as soon as possible to facilitate quality education in the school.
Kokrajhar, Jan 10: A workshop on 'Space Technology and Geospatial Advancement' was organized at the District Commissioner’s office conference hall in Tamulpur on Thursday. The event was a collaborative effort between the Tamulpur district administration and the Assam State Space Application Centre (ASSAC), under the Department of Science, Technology, and Climate Change, Government of Assam.
