Bengali body demands CBI probe

The All India Bengali Youth Student's Federation (AIBYSF) and All Assam Bengali Youth Student's Federation (BBYSF) will stage sit-in-demonstration on September 7 at Dispur last gate in Guwahati demanding CBI probe into the Silapothar and Nagaon incident.

Speaking the News Conference held at Amala Bhawan in Kokrajhar on Sunday, Shyamal Sarkar, president of All India Bengali Youth Student's Federation and Deepak Dey, president of the Assam state federation demanded stern actions against incidents of Silapothar and Nagaon in the state.

The federation have condemned the Nagaon incident which had created resented among the citizens, said that it was created by some so called activities to indulge misunderstanding in the state. They accused of Chief Minister, who had well known about both incidents held at Silapothar and Nagaon, but yet he has been keeping silence into situations.

Many people from greater Chitila area in Fakiragram in Kojrajhar staged protest in front of the police outpost alleging  rape attempt by a local resident on a school girl. According to protestors, a student of the Chitila MV School was faced survived a rape attempt by the chowkidar of the school inside the school building. Sensation prevails in Kokrajhar following unidentified miscreants killed  a temple priest on Sunday. Hours after the incident police detained two persons in this connection. According to eye witness,a group of two-four unknown miscreants wearing black clothes entered the temple near Kokrajhar railway station and brutally muredered the priest in the wee hours. At least one person died and twenty others  sustained serious injuries when the bus in which they were travelling collided its head on another bus at Alipurduar in West Bengal on Saturday. The mishap took place early in the morning and both the buses were over loaded with passengers. Thr driver of a bus who sustained grave injury later died in the hospital. Other injured passengers have been battling for life at the hospital. Traffic snarl disrupted normal movement of vehicles for several hours.
