AKRSU staged paralyzing economic blockade

 Surface communication has beeb remaining heavily disrupted along the 31C national highway from Thursday following the 100-hour economic blockade called by All Koch Rajbongshi Students’ Union-Pradeep Ray faction demanding  Scheduled Tribe (ST) status to the Koch Rajbongshis and reconstruction of Kamatapur state.

Hundreds of vehicles have been remaining stranded at various places along the 31C national highways in lower Assam districts, included BTAD areas under of the impact of the 100-hour blockade.

Hundreds of students staged  dharna in Kashikotra in Chirang district raising banners and placards and shouting slogans demanding ST status to the Koch Rajbongshis and Kamatapur statehood.

 

The AKRSU slammed the government for not taking stern measure to solve the demand and issues of the Koch Rajbongshis.
