Pathetic road condition in Namrup

A brief journey on the Namrup-Sonari road turns no less a nightmare these days suggesting a apathy of the authority for years.

The vital road that touches the Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Cooperation Limited, Assam Petrochemicals Limited and Namrup Thermal  Power Plant assumes huge importance for many people in the industrial zone in upper Assam.

Moreover, a huge portion of the road is a safe route for many tourists from the country and abroad who have been finding it quite difficult to enjoy the journey.

The pathetic plight has, of late, forced these guests to prefer the Namrup-Naharkatia Road to avoid the sufferings.

The local residents here have been in touch with the authorities. But the things have remained unchanged. They hope the local MLA and Namrup authority would look into it.
