AJYCP strike on Monday

The move to auction 12 oil fields in Assam runs into a hail of state-wide protests. Announcing a slew of protest, the Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad threatens to intensify protest if the Centre refuses to restraint by July 8. Talking to Assam Times, AJYCP leaders in Sivasagar said they are holding a 12-hour strike at the oil field in Sivasagar district on Monday. On Tuesday, the influential organization will further block the national Highway No 37 in protest against the controversial move of the Modi Government. On July 8, they would block the rails opposing the move.

The big question is when Public Sector companies like OIL and ONGC cannot make profit from these fields, how can Private Sector Parties can make profit. Are they superior to ONGC or OIL in in technology, equipments and manpower ?

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court is not at all satisfied with the CBI probe into the secret killing cases in Manipur. A division bench of the country's apex court comprising Justice MB Lokur and Justice UU Lalit on Monday said that the premier investigation agency has not been probing the nefarious cases where Army, police and para military forces were involved in the extra judicial cases.  The bench further asked NHRC to dispatch a team of officials to help the SIT to complete the probe. MARCUS KANYAK KOHIMA: A massive security arrangement is in place in Nagaland as the north eastern state is going to the assembly polls on February 28. Official sources confirmed in Kohima that the the Centre is prepared to dispatch 281 companies of security apart from the state police. KOHIMA: Nagaland BJP has stepped up action against TheNewsJoint.com, after lesser known news portal broke out a story alleging Ram Madhav's stay at hotel in Dimapur with two girls. Issuing a statement hours after the damaging story went viral in social media state party president said the story was totally false which aimed at tarnishing the image and integrity of the BJP heavyweight who has been handling the party's affairs in the north eastern region.
