SLRM certificates distribution
A total of 150 master trainers’ training certificates were given away at a programme held at Basic Training Centre in Kokrajhar on Sunday.
A 15-days long training programme was conducted on Solid and Liquid Resource Management(SLRM),organised by Kokrajhar Municipality Board(KMB) and was designed by India Green Service(IGS) to train master trainers’ to build neat and clean situation among society under municipality board among educated youth and citizens.
Rahila Brahma, BTC Secretary graced as chief guest on the function and distributed certificates among trainers.
Bishnu Narzary,chairman of KMB told that the board has organised training programme to keep town neat and clean to facilitate healthy and green.He said that the board was working to make garbage free zone in the district.He master trainers were imparted on the management of solid and liquid resources through recycling method.
Bhaskar Das,district election officer,Kokrajhar; ward commissioners among others were present on the function.

Former president of Kokrajhar district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, Binati Bala Basumatary resigned from her party membership on Monday. Basumatary submitted her resignation letter to the state party president citating personal reason . She was Kokrajhar district BJP president for 2011-2015, who had gained strength of the party through her strong leadership in the district. Basumatary's quit of the party ahead assembly election would draw a set back party strength in the Kokrajhar. Three cadres of the NDFB(S) were arrested by security forces in a joint operation belonging to police and army at Hakata village under Barama PS in Baksa district on Sunday. The cadres were identified as Jwangsar Boro @ KK, Mohit Mushahary and Pramod Ramchiary @ Khankari @Raja of Baksa district. They were actively involved in extortion, arms smuggling and other nefarious and anti national activities and Adivasi carnage in December(2014) and had run away and sheltered themselves in Chennai, till their return.
