Later in the day he would met the state leadership to take stock of the state’s pre poll political landscape.

Wrong News. After landing at Borjhar LGBI Airport, he went to Hotel Rituraj where he conducted a personal meeting for more than one hour and then around 12:10 proceeded to ITA Machkhowa from where he left for Delhi.

Guwahati: Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi paid his tribute to Tarun Gogoi on Wednesday two days after the former Chief Minister breathed his last at the Guwahati Medical College Hospital.
Gandhi, who arrived in the capital city from Goa at 9 in the morning straightly left for Gogoi's official residence in Dispur where he condoled the demise of the senior Congress leader.
Accompanied by KC Venugopal and Jitendra Singh, Gandhi rushed to the Shankardev Kalakhetra where paid his last respect to Gogoi.
His mortal remains would be kept at the Shankardev Kalakhetra for Wednesday and would be cremated at Navagraga cremation ground on Thursday.

Guwahati: Veteran Congress leader and former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi is dead. He passed away in the evening at Guwahati Medical College Hospital where he was undergoing treatment of post COVID complications.
His condition deteriorated on Saturday as his organs did not properly respond to the line of treatment.
Guwahati: State Congress has filed a formal complaint against senior minister Himanta Biswa Sarma accusing him of trying to ignite communal clash by using a controversial video clip in social media.
A delegation of the party lodged the complaint at the Bhangagarh police station demanding action against Sarma as. Guwahati: The Gauhati High Court has asked the state election authorities to hold the BTC polls by November 20.
Hearing a PIL, a bench of the court has issued instruction to the authorities to hold it by November 20.
Notably, then polls were scheduled for April 4 following the end of the term of Hagrama Mohilary and his fellows. But it was suspended following the COVID19 endemic.
