Very happy to know that the association is continuing to do well and growing. I had the privilege of being the President of the association around 1981-82 when I was a Professor of IIT-Madras ( now Chennai). During Assam Movement, we published the Brahmaputra Beckons. One person was killed and three others have been injured when a vehicle hit the post of a bridge in Morigaon district on Saturday night.The incident took place at Dharamtul on the National Highway No 37 when the vehicle carrying four people to Jajori in Nagaon met with the mishap. One person died on the spot while three others were rushed to the hospital.
The West Bengal police have arrested two top KLO militants hours after they were released by their Nepal counterparts on Friday.Identified as Tom Adhikary and Niambor Rajbanshi, the KLO militants would be produced before a court on Sunday.
