Guwahati: After 20 days of Lockdown to keep COVID19 at bay, the authorities in the city of Guwahati are beginning to unlock phase I from Monday.
According to chief secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna, the shops will open only on one side of the road from Monday to Friday.
Hotels and restaurants have been restricted from opening in this phase. However, the restaurants would be able to do home delivery.

Tinsukia: A relief camp inmate in Baghjan area allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison on Saturday sending shock and anger across the state.

Guwahati : Assam chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal had a stock taking video conference with all district authorities in the time of COVID-19.
Sonowal asked Deputy Commissioners to take all possible measures to keep the killer virus at bay.
Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and his junior minister Piyush Hazarika were conspicuous by their absence from the meeting on COVID-19.
