Tirap DC transferred

Tirap Deputy Commissioner Dr Sachin Shinde, IAS has been transferred from Khonsa on June 12 to join as Secretary to the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh. Longding DC Shilpa Shinde has taken over the charges from her husband for the time being. A grand farewell meeting was held at the NBF hall, Khonsa to bid adieu to Dr Shinde. While thanking all the officers and officials for their unstinted co-operation and support  the out-going DC asked them to work with the same spirit adding that the government employees of Tirap were working under a very trying circumstance.

All the officers and the staff who shared their views in the farewell function spoke eloquently and glowingly about the contributions of Shinde. As a matter of fact, Shinde will be remembered for introducing new and innovative schemes which have already benefited the people like Tirap District  Career Counseling Cell, Biometric attendance system, CCTV cameras at different locations, rain water harvesting etc. Though he was in Tirap just for a year, Sachin Shinde left an indelible mark in governance and effective administration.
